A combination of latitude and altitude extend the winter season in Muskoka, Ontario. While areas farther south cope with slush and drizzle, we can usually count on good snow conditions from Christmas through late March. Winter enthusiasts find lots of ways to use this snow, ending the day's activities in front of cosy fires in their private cottage. 15 km of well groomed cross-country ski trails begin right at your door, and in summer serve as hiking trails. Ski rentals are available nearby and we have snowshoes to rent right here. For snowmobilers, we are just a 1km connection to hundreds of kms of OFSC maintained trails in the area. Downhill skiers are close to nearby centres.

		Cross Country Skiing - Groomed Trails Start skiing right from your cottage door! These skiers, in front of the Office and the six bedroom self-catering unit called the LODGE, can choose from over 20 km. of groomed, track set trails. There's something for every level of ability, and you can pick and choose your route. No waiting around at the car for the rest of the group to be finished, either - instead, you can beat them back to the warm, comfortable cottage - and be waiting with your feet up in front of the open fire, hot drink in hand, admiring the view from the window! Find your own comfort level - and then get back out there on the trails again!
		Skating If conditions are right you can sometimes skate on the lake in front of the resort. There is a lighted municipal outdoor rink in Dwight just 5km away in season.
The dogs, however, are our own. Sorry, only our resident pets are allowed at Bondi Village!		Ever built a Quinzhee?(snow house) Here's your chance! There's lots for families to do at Bondi Village! Cross country skiing, snowmobiling, skating, tobogganing, bird watching, snowshoeing, building forts and snow houses! Bondi Village makes an excellent base for Snowmobilers, too. We link directly to Provincial Top Trail D101B, accessing Oxtongue Lake, Dorset and Dwight. Buy your permits at our local club, Algonquin Snowmobile Club, based at Dwight, just minutes away! Muskoka Snowmobile Region trails are among the best in the world! You can ride “forever”, and come home to the comfort of your own housekeeping cottage accomodation when it's time to “sit still”.
		Dog Sledding Every season there's something different! During the summer, we run special activities such as Stargazing, sand castle building and our unique in the world clam race! In the winter, we can arrange for dog sledding and sleigh rides! Downhill skiing / snowboarding is available at nearby Hidden Valley Highlands, near Huntsville and there is an awsome tubing hill at Rock Ride in Huntsville.
		Sugarbush Our 20 km. of groomed, track set cross country ski trails wind through a variety of ecosystems - this one is in our maple sugar bush, where we make maple syrup every spring.
		Wildlife We're a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife viewers. In the winter, the deer come in - very very close!! Just l0 minutes away, in Algonquin Park, you are almost guaranteed to see a moose during May and June!
		Winter Sports aren't limited to any age group! There's lots for families to do at Bondi Village! Cross country skiing, snowmobiling, skating, tobogganing, bird watching, snowshoeing, building forts and snow houses! Equipment rentals are available nearby, and alpine skiing / snowboarding are just minutes away as well! Our 20 km. cross country ski trails wind through all kinds of forest, from hardwood bush, to black spruce, such as seen here! Wide, well groomed trails invite everyone to get out into the fresh air! Your warm, comfortable cottage is never far away, and the trails are never crowded! We now have snowshoes for rent right on site.
