... in the FALL

Autumn colours make fall one of the best times for golf enthusiasts. Nearby Bigwin Island course is open Spring and Fall to non-members.

Our 12 hole Frisbee Golf Course is open year round. Autumn is one of the prettiest seasons, though!

Autumn is when we get the best sunsets. Wow!

Hike in the woods when the leaves are down -- no flies... but lots of animal signs, like these bear claw marks! What an experience!

Hiking is at its best in the Autumn. No bugs, fabulous colours... this is one of the cottage roads on our property, but there are many many great trails in the area.

In November, Huntsville hosts a fantastic Girls' Getaway Weekend. Stay with us for special rates, right on the lake, and enjoy all the shows and activities.

Triathlons and Marathons happen in Huntsville year round. Autumn is our favourite for these -- not too hot, perfect colours!

The birds start moving through again, heading south, making us a haven for birdwatchers. The Pileated woodpecker comes to hang out in our Wild Cherry Trees.

Autumn is one of the best times to visit the many area rivers and waterfalls, like Marsh's Falls, Ragged Falls, Oxtongue Rapids

Autumn hiking, no flies, but often you find more wonderful things, like these turkey feathers from our local wild flock

Early morning mists in the autumn just call for a sweater, a cup of coffee, the view from the dock...

A cruise on the RMS Segwun or Wenonah for dinner, or just to enjoy the autumn colours -- ranked one of Canada's TOP attractions!

Autumn is about Hiking -- you can see forever through the trees as the leaves come down. And until then, the autumn colours will take your breath away.

Cozy up to a fireplace and enjoy the sunsets as autumn turns toward winter and the birds turn toward fall migration

With the ripening of the fruits and apple trees, you might see a bear, especially in Algonquin Park!

Go Fish! We have fishing boats, and a lake with lots of fish

take a day trip to Dorset. Plenty to explore, including the S.S. Bigwin, Museum and the World's Best General Store.

The Volunteer Firemen host the best fireworks displays, on Canada Day and the August long weekend. Firefest and the Dorset fireworks should be on your list of things to see.

Every week we have a Marathon Swim event, great for those who swim, canoe, kayak, row or just like to watch and cheer.

Every cottage has its own canoe. We also have rowboats, fishing boats, kayaks, windsurfers and ski boats. And we'll teach you how to use them.

Catch your very first fish -- our Main Dock is a super place to fish for rockbass

Sailing -- where better than on Lake of Bays?

Frisbee Golf! We have a short course on the main lawn... 9 holes of challenging fun just across the road. Guests can sign out the discs at the office.

Go Wildlife Watching -- we include a Pass into Algonquin or Arrowhead Provincial Park for all our guests to enjoy.

Join us for the Marathon Swim -- to the Point. And Back. Or to the Island, 1.6 km. away

Nature hikes on our trails can lead to artistic adventures too!

A super day trip is to Parry Sound, for a trip in a float plane with Georgian Bay Airways. Brian has his own small Piper Cub PA-11, right here.

Some of our guests bring their horses on vacation too, at our stables. Others enjoy trail riding at one of three nearby centres.

So many butterflies -- guests always enjoy watching the caterpillars spin the chrysalis and emerge as flying flowers!

There are lots of places to mountain bike, including the fabulous Rail Trail in Algonquin.

Bring your own boat. We've got lots of dock space available. And with 330 miles of shoreline, Lake of Bays is a wonderful place to explore from the water.

Historical Plaques around the Lake provide incentive for a drive, a picnic, and a little education.

Ragged Falls -- a super place to picnic and admire the biggest waterfall on the Oxtongue River.

White Water Rafting on the Ottawa is an easy Day Trip if you are staying with us.

Visit area museums -- Muskoka Heritage Place, Dorset Museum, Lucy Maude Montgomery house, and this one -- Bethune House in Gravenhurst. It's not ALL about the Lakes!

The Algonquin Snowmobile Club has some of the best trails in the province. You can access them directly from Bondi.

We have almost 20 km. of groomed, track-set ski trails here on site. Close by is Arrowhead Provincial Park, a world-class nordic facility. Or Ski the Frost, near Dorset.
